Many Bay enthusiasts are fascinated by the ultra-large ships coming and going at the Port of Baltimore. But since most of us aren’t allowed inside the port, the Baltimore and Chesapeake Bay Ship Watchers group brings the port to us.

This ever-growing Facebook page and website give curious Bay-goers an inside look at ship traffic. Its users share photography and insights. There’s even a livestream to show you what’s passing through the channel in real time.

Cheryl Costello meets the man behind the Ship Watchers, Mike Singer. Watch below:
